Margaret was Alexis's mother and advocate for almost thirty years.
Margaret attended Oxford University and received her M.A. in English Literature from the University of Colorado. She taught literature and writing at both the high school and collegiate levels for thirteen years.
In the not-for-profit world, Margaret was vice president of marketing and fundraising for a national cancer research center, an executive consultant for marketing and fundraising to national organizations, and the founding executive director of the Judith Ann Griese Foundation for Grieving Children and Families. Most recently she was appointed to serve on the DouglasCounty Human Services Citizen Review Panel.
An award-winning marketing and public relations professional, Margaret is also a freelance editor, public speaker, and a professional photographer.
Margaret lives with her husband, Dave, an architect and founder of Allis Ranch Winery, in Sedalia, Colorado. Her second daughter, Megan, is married and lives in Arlington, Virginia.
Margaret is the proud grandmother of Cooper.
